Training Day 29Today is the start of the University Rowing club 'ergathon'. We are aiming to raise money for children's charities by Rowing the distance from Canterbury to Paris. This is split into 5 days, with 6 hours Rowing each day. With 4 people splitting each hour. So it is more fun than hard work.
I have signed up for 9 slots, which is the most of anybody I believe. Did my 1st slot at around 1pm, then did a change over slot of 5minutes due to one of the rowers being sick. Then did my 2nd slot at about 2pm. The rowing machine has to be kept constantly rowing at all time for 6 hours, so change overs are good fun, with someone un-clipping your feet while someone takes over the pulling until the next person jumps in. 2 slots down, 7 left! Before all of this though, I did squeeze in an hours swimming at 7am, and some light weights straight afterwards. Training Day 28 Rest Day.
Had another good Sunday roast, and my house mates returned, so am no longer home alone.
